Partner Data Analyst

Helsinki / Hybrid

About the job

Would you like to join an ambitious and dedicated team to develop unique technology to tackle social exclusion among children, youth and families? We Foundation is now looking for a Partner Data Analyst to join the small yet productive team to change how social impact is seen.

We’ve seen social sector non-profit organizations and their funding partners struggling with measuring, quantifying and making their positive impact visible. As a solution, we are changing how data is collected and used in the field. We are developing & making available a social impact platform that helps gather, analyze, manage and visualize wellbeing data. Already today, the platform provides insights to over 30 000 interactions with children, families and youth, providing our partners valuable information on their impact on the community's wellbeing.

As a Partner Data Analyst, you’ll be in charge of the data part of our social impact platform. You get to work on how we pull, analyze and communicate reach, retention, engagement and changes in wellbeing data in our partner communities, and on how we enrich our own data from the external public sources. You will work closely with our partner NGOs, public sector organizations and their donors. You know how to build inspiring reports and visualizations to our partner organizations and get to change how they lead their work. Internally, you will be a valued member of our product team, bringing in the data knowledge when building a scalable social impact tool.

You can come to this role from a multitude of backgrounds, but essentially you are a data professional with deep understanding of quantitative methods, economics and/or statistics. In this role you will have a connection to our partner organizations, so we expect you to have experience in ‘talking data’ to audiences outside of your own professional field.

What you will be doing:

  • Creating visualizations, reports and dashboards using data from our social impact platform and public sources
  • Finding relevant data sources and managing data collection very hands-on
  • Developing relationships with our data partner organizations
  • Creating data and analytics-related communications materials
  • Contributing to our data & impact model, theory of change and product development

What we wish to see from you:

  • Background in data analytics or in other relevant field
  • Knowledge of industry tools and methods and ability to interpret and visualize data
  • Ability to combine data from multiple sources, and translate complex and mathematical concepts in an engaging and inspiring way to non-technical audiences
  • Entrepreneurial and curious mind willing to solve challenges
  • Interest in working directly with organisations tackling social exclusion
  • Excellent skills in English, fluency in Finnish is an asset

As the Partner Data Analyst, you’ll have the chance to join developing a unique product in a mission-driven organization together with a motivated, fun and growth-oriented team. We’re still in the beginning of our journey and we are looking for someone who wants to roll their sleeves and grow with us.

We are flexible with remote work, but based in Helsinki, and wish to see you at the office regularly. We strive for diversity and inclusion, and encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.
